Parent Responsibilities

The task God has given us of providing of full-time Christian education is a challenging one, demanding the ongoing effort of parents and teachers working together.

The home is, and always will be, the chief agency for the Christian training of the child. A Christian school, such as Zion , does not relieve the parents of their God-given obligation. The purpose of Zion is to serve as an important aid to and an extension of the home.

Zion Lutheran School would not exist without the active participation of parents. It is through the commitment of time, talents, and treasures of parents and staff that Zion can maintain its excellent standards. There are many areas of parent participation. A list of many ways parents can support the school can be obtained from the school office. We ask that each school family commit a minimum of 12 hours of volunteer time.
