Who We Are

Zion Lutheran School is a Christian elementary school. Every instruction and course is offered under the umbrella of God's Word and of Christ Jesus, our Saviour. A faculty of 12 qualifies and caring teachers serve at our school. All teachers are certified under the British Columbia Ministry of Education.

Zion Lutheran School offers:

  • Pre-Kindergarten (4 years of age)
  • Kindergarten
  • Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Zion Lutheran School operates a Christian Day School for its members and others who are interested in an education where spiritual and academic qualities are emphasized. It is an expectation that parents and children submit to our total course of study and discipline. Space limitations and the ability of the school to meet the needs of a child may cause Zion Lutheran School to deny admission to applicants.

Class enrollment is limited to 25 students per class in Grades 1-9; 20 students in Kindergarten and 15 students in Pre-Kindergarten. The School Board may expand the maximum class number if a transfer from other Lutheran churches or schools if it is a short term increase.
Application forms for enrollment in Zion Lutheran School and a school handbook may be requested from or picked up at the school office.

Zion Lutheran School provides a high quality academic education for Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 9 students, a Learning Assistance Program and English as a Second Language services. Zion does not have full-time special education classes or councilors for those students with extreme learning disabilities.
